It was a sunny day when we came by McDonalds in Hjørring. Actually the summers have been pretty sunny lately. Global warming? Well, for sure you need to drink a lot, while you are looking for food.
We spotted the poster on the wall that shows one of their employees carrying a big container of cooking oil. It got me thinking of what I had bookmarked before. It was the conversation I had with a truckdriver outside earlier that year. The truck came there to collect food waste.
The truckdriver was telling me how they process the food waste from McDonalds and turn the organic material into a new resource. This resource is later turned into fuel for larger vehicles or electricity. Imagine that.
